El horizonte plano del Océano Pacífico se extiende de izquierda a derecha y se encuentra con la costa costarricense a solo 300 metros del albergue. ¡Puedes ver y escuchar las olas! A su derecha verá la vasta extensión del océano, mientras que a su izquierda verá un laberinto de bancos de arena, islas y manglares protegidos que forman el vasto delta del río Terraba. Es el río más largo de Centroamérica y uno de los brazos de su delta desemboca en el océano «al frente y al centro» del albergue. Las aguas del río se unen a la fuerza del Pacífico y crean patrones de olas muy interesantes que cambian con las mareas.
El río Terraba separa Isla Garza del continente. La isla ofrece 17 kilómetros de playas salvajes, naturales y prístinas frente al océano. Está a poco menos de 900 metros de la propiedad y se puede acceder a ella en un rápido taxi acuático desde el cercano asentamiento junto al mar. En la orilla del río, puedes disfrutar de los increíbles manglares y la fauna relacionada en kayak o barco, y hacer excursiones para fotografiar numerosas especies de aves, monos y loros, ¡además de caimanes y posiblemente cocodrilos!
Una vez que hayas regresado de tus aventuras, tendrás el mejor asiento de la casa para disfrutar del espectáculo carmesí nocturno al atardecer: ¡podrás ver el sol caer sobre las aguas del Pacífico mientras te relajas en la piscina o saboreas una mimosa en la terraza contigua al restaurante!

The flat Pacific Ocean horizon extends from left to right, meeting the Costa Rican coast just 300 metres away from the lodge – you can see and hear the waves! On your right you see the vast expanse of the ocean while on your left is a maze of protected sandbars, islands and mangroves that make up the vast Terraba River delta. This is the longest river in Central America and one of its delta arms enters the ocean ‘front and centre’ of the lodge – the waters of the river meet the power of the Pacific creating very interesting wave patterns that change with the tides.
The Terraba River separates Isla Garza from the mainland. The island offers 17 kilometers of wild, natural and pristine ocean-facing beaches. It is just under 900m from the property and is accessible by a quick water taxi ride from the nearby oceanside settlement. On the riverside you can experience the incredible mangroves and related wildlife in a kayak or boat, touring to photograph numerous species of birds, monkeys, and parrots as well as caimans and possibly crocodiles too!
Once back from your adventures you have the best seat in the house for the nightly crimson sunset show – you can watch the sun descend into the waters of the Pacific while you relax in the pool or sip a mimosa on the deck adjacent to the restaurant!
