Bayahíbe, que se beneficia de las cristalinas y tranquilas aguas del Mar Caribe, es conocido por su playa de arena blanca, sus hermosas puestas de sol y sus arrecifes de coral para disfrutarlos practicando buceo. A partir del año 1990 comenzaron a realizarse excursiones organizadas al Parque Nacional del Este, del cual forma parte la isla Saona.
La playa es sin duda, una de las principales atracciones turísticas de Bayahibe, playa de fina arena blanca y cálidas aguas cristalinas, de color turquesa profundo, de poca profundidad, poco oleaje, típico del Mar Caribe, y exuberante vegetación de cocoteros.
