The Guadalajara City Council has a comprehensive plan to repopulate the Center and its neighborhoods with housing for all social sectors, with the participation of the government, private initiative and civil society.

El Ayuntamiento de Guadalajara tiene un plan integral para repoblar el Centro y sus barrios con vivienda para todos los sectores sociales, con la participación del gobierno, la iniciativa privada y la sociedad civil.

El plan incluye programas de vivienda protegida, polígonos de vivienda, rehabilitación de fincas históricas y desdoblamiento habitacional.

El objetivo es ofrecer vivienda asequible, accesible y de calidad, y revertir la tendencia de despoblación y deterioro del centro histórico.

Además, el plan contempla la recuperación de fachadas, el mejoramiento del alumbrado, la seguridad, la limpieza, la movilidad y la oferta cultural y comercial del centro histórico. Algunos proyectos emblemáticos son: Paseo Alcalde, Ciudad Creativa Digital y la Línea 3 del Tren Ligero."
