Guadalajara Moderna/Colonia Americana
LÓPEZ COTILLA 1723
Luviano Building
Between General San Martín and Simón Bolívar
Architect: Félix Aceves Ortega
Client: Mr. Carlos Luviano Jaramillo
Year of Construction: 1978
Perhaps the greatest representative of brutalism in Guadalajara, Félix Aceves completed this building in 1978. Once again (as he did in his 1973 Mexico Building), Arq. Aceves took an unorthodox approach in his conception of this office building. Awarded that year with an honorable mention in the Moctezuma cement works award for its use of apparent concrete, this building, however, can cause mixed feelings due to its impressive presence in an area where examples of residential architecture from the Tapatía School of the 1920s and 1930s abound. We must mention that the 70s were not known for the interpretation of the historical context in projects, which at this time is perhaps the most important element in the conception of a project in areas similar. It has 30 parking spaces, 5 floors plus basement, elevator, facilities in excellent condition and maintenance.
Guadalajara Moderna / Colonia Americana
LÓPEZ COTILLA 1723
Edificio Luviano
Entre General San Martín y Simón Bolívar
Arquitecto: Félix Aceves Ortega
Cliente: Lic. Carlos Luviano Jaramillo
